Oluwafisayo Isa popularly known as Darkoo was born in Lagos State, Nigeria. She began releasing music at the age of 15, starting out as a rapper before pursuing a career in music.

However, in 2019, she released her breakthrough single “Gangsta”, featuring British rapper One Acen which was repeatedly played on TikTok. The song reached number 22 on the official charts in early January, 2020.
