9ice’s Biography and Net Worth 

Alexander Abolore Adegbola Akande popularly known as 9ice is a multi award-winning Nigerian singer, songwriter, record producer, actor, recording artist, dancer and a model.

He was born on January 17, 1980 and he hails from Ogbomoso Local Government Area in Oyo State, Nigeria. 9ice grew up in a polygamous family of five wives and nine children in Bariga area of Lagos State.

The indigenous rapper began writing his own songs at a very tender age (14years). According to him, he derives his inspiration from his environment, and also from music icons like Pasuma, Ebenezer Obey, King Sunny Ade & other Iconic figures.

9ice rose to fame in 2008 after the release of his biggest hit single “Gongo Aso” which earned him numerous awards including, Artiste of the Year, Song of the Year and others. He has also collaborated with musicians like Ruggedman, Lord of Ajasa, 2Face Idibia, and others.

The superstar who is known for his powerful use of the Yoruba language in his music as well as his proverbial lyrics and unique style of delivery has released over 7 studio albums. His debut album, “Certificate” in 2007 was followed by “Gongo Aso”, “Tradition”, “Certificate & Tradition reloaded”, “Bashorun GAA/Versus” and many more. 

In 2020, 9ice released another album entitled “Tip of The Iceberg: Episode 1” to top his previously released albums. He is also the Founder and CEO of his own music record label Alapomeji Ancestral Record.
